A couple weeks ago I was honoured to DJ for Dilla day at Canada’s largest independent record store, Sonic Boom (sonicboommusic.com). It was a party with a purpose though: to raise money for Lupus Canada (lupuscanada.org) for research and to celebrate the Man and the Music of J Dilla (aka Jay Dee aka James Dewitt Yancey) who left us too early due to Lupus.
